Sarah-Jayne & Mike’s gorgeous day took place on a crisp autumnal day in October. We got incredibly lucky with the weather as Storm Brian blew in later that evening but we managed to avoid his wrath! And the storm certainly did not dampen their spirits.
I have known Sarah-Jayne for many years now, ever since we went to college together (many moons ago!) so photographing her wedding was such an honour.
Their wedding took place at the breathtaking venue Speke Hall – a Tudor manor house in a most unusual setting on the banks of the River Mersey! Sarah-Jayne and Mike are huge Game of Thrones fans, so the medieval hall was the most perfect setting for their wedding.
The entire day was just fantastic. From the relaxed morning prep, to the super emotional speeches and even through to the jaeger-bomb-fuled dancing in the evening. The whole day was amazing and I can’t thank Sarah and Mike enough for how welcome they made me feel. SO happy for you guys, I wish you an entire lifetime of love and happiness. <3

To sing in the trees,
Someone to bless me
Whenever I sneeze.
Let there be cuckoos,
A lark and a dove,
But first of all, please
Let there be love.”
