Sara & Darren’s Three Horseshoes Countryside Wedding

Amongst the picturesque countryside of the Staffordshire Peaks hill tops, overlooking the breathtaking rocky ridges & tucked away off a busy road sits Sara & Darren‘s beautiful wedding venue, The Three Horseshoes.

Sara & her girls spent the morning getting ready at her mum’s house just 5 minutes up the road from their venue. From the moment I stepped through the front door I could feel the love & warmth of this family home and instantly felt welcome. I could hear the giggles and chatter from the back room as Sara was having her hair done, glass of fizz in hand & surrounded by her wonderful friends & family.

Once I headed over to their venue, I was greeted by Sara & Darren’s two gorgeous, little children, Billy & Lainey, who were excitedly awaiting their mum’s arrival. They hadn’t seen their mum in her dress so getting their reaction to seeing her was priceless. Inside at the front of the ceremony hall was Darren, standing proud in his suit greeting guests as they arrived. The ceremony was beautiful & full of giggles – I always love seeing couples trying to keep their cool but succumbing to fits of giggles! Makes everything much more fun.

We decided to wait until the sun was just about setting before heading out and getting some portraits. And oh my, am I glad we did… The golden sunset created the most perfect, natural lighting.

The entire day was full of love, laughter and so much happiness. Everyone I chatted to told me how special they are to them. This is a couple full of kindess and love for everyone around them. It’s impossible not to smile after spending time with Sara & Darren. I feel really honoured to have captured their day for them & can’t thank them enough for their kindess.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Baker! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness <3

“The first time ever I saw your face,
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
& the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies.”
