Can you imagine a better way to welcome the festive season than by attending a stunning wedding? On 23rd December last year, I was lucky enough to capture the beautiful winter wedding of Louise & Jonathan. Everything about their day was so festively beautiful, from the pops of deep cranberry red in the flowers to the subtle green tones of Jonathan’s suit. It all complimented everything so perfectly. Lou and Jonny hadn’t been engaged long before they set their date, but didn’t want to wait a long time before they did – plus the appeal of a Christmas wedding was just too strong for Lou! <3
The ceremony took place at St Peter’s Church in Woolton, which is one of my absolute favourite churches in Liverpool. It all looked so pretty and festive. Louise & Jonathan along with their family members had put together these beautiful, tall decorations and dressed them up with fairy lights and tiny festive berries. Each one lined up along the aisle until they met the tree at the front – it all looked amazing.
After the ceremony, we headed over to their reception at The Racquet Club. Their evening room looked so beautiful. All the tables were named after Father Christmas’ reindeer, each leading up to the head tabled labeled “St Nicholas”. Each of their guests had a wedding favour, which was kept inside a tiny Christmas stocking. The entire room felt like a beautiful, sophisticated winter wonderland.
Everything about the day was beautiful. Lou and Jonny are a truly fantastic couple. Parts of the day were quite chilly and a little windy at times, but they never stopped smiling at all – plus it made for beautiful breezy veil photos 🙂 Thank you both so much for having me!
