It’s that time of year again! Christmas is coming and I cannot be more excited. The moment the tree goes up and the decorations come out of the loft, i’m beyond excited for Christmas.
December is the month where I do a lot of reflecting on my year. My year isn’t over just yet, intact I have a lot to look forward to; family photo shoots, a Christmas wedding, couple’s meetings to discuss their future weddings. All I have to do is look back to last December to see how much has changed for me, and when I do I can’t help but feel proud of myself.
I have made mistakes the past 3 years, some bigger than others, but that’s all part of my journey. In life you need to make mistakes in order to grow and as long as you can learn something then that’s what matters.
I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me this year. To all my incredible couples who put their trust in me to capture their wedding, i’ve learnt so much from each and every wedding. Thank you to all the families who let me photograph them and capture their happy times. Thank you to all my friends and family who have been there from the start, picking me up when i’m down, cheered me on and supported me through everything. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Every day i’m pushing myself to be better, trying new techniques, being more creative, reading and learning, watching videos, purchasing new lenses and equipment, watching/attending workshops… To be given the privilege to photograph a wedding or attend a family event just gives me a chance to shine and do my absolute best to create beautiful memories for you.
Now, before I get too emotional, here is how i’ve decorated my house this year for Christmas 🙂 Can’t wait to get wrapping all my presents and get them under the tree!
