Claire & Jay are such a brilliant couple. You may even recognise this lovely pair from their engagement shoot a few months ago.
The weather this year hasn’t exactly been outstanding. If we do get any sunshine, it’s a rare thing and something to embrace! We may not have gotten a “perfect” summers day, but we did get a few dry spells – and the sun did pop through the clouds! I’ve always said you don’t need the sun to shine to have a perfect day, and this wedding is proof!
If anyone asks where Warrington is, the response is always “somewhere in the middle of Manchester & Liverpool.” It doesn’t sound like much of a place, but it’s such an underrated & beautiful town. Claire & Jay’s venue – the Fir Grove – is a little gem.
The ceremony was lovely and a little bit emotional at the start – and ohhhh I do love an emotional wedding! After the ceremony & the formals, I took Claire & Jay aside for some couple portraits. The hotel had these amazing reflective windows, which shone a gorgeous metallic blue colour when the sun hit them – and seeing as their colour theme was blue, we thought this would make for some cool shots.
It’s so lovely to watch these two, you can see how much they love each other just by the way they look into each others eyes.
I wish Claire & Jay every luck in the world as Mr & Mrs Hughes. They are an amazing couple with such kind hearts. I’ve had a lovely time getting to know them as a couple & photographing their special day. Thank you both so much for having me at your wedding, I loved every moment!
“And I’d give up forever to touch you
‘Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be
And I don’t wanna go home right now.”
